Is it a real phone call?
It rings full screen, including on your lock screen, and feels like a phone call. It uses your data connection, so there’s no phone number or roaming charge.
What if I’m a complete beginner?
Your first call is a gentle chat that finds your level. Your friend starts wherever you are, even if you only know “hola.”
What happens if I can’t answer?
Just decline. You’ll get a message instead, and your friend can catch you next time.
Can I call them instead?
Yes. Use the call button whenever you feel like talking. You don’t have to wait for them to ring.

Is my voice recorded?
Ordinary call audio is processed live and is not persistently stored by Filomou. Placement-call audio may be stored temporarily until assessment finishes or retries. Full text transcripts are kept only while needed to resume the session and produce its review, then deleted; the smaller learning results remain. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
What does “Filomou” mean?
It’s Greek for “my friend”: φíλο μου. Say it fee-lo-MOO.
